Getting there: This campground is located in Great Sandy National Park, 73 km from Tewantin.
From Tewantin follow McKinnon Dr north for about 14.5 km. Turn left onto Junction Rd, drive for another 3 km as it becomes Cootharaba Rd, in approximately 4.5 km continue onto Galloways Line, follow for about 5.5 km. Turn left onto Bates Rd, in approximately 4 km turn right onto Kin Kin Rd and drive for about 3 km. Then turn right onto Cooloola Way and follow for 29.5 km. Turn right onto Rainbow Beach Rd, drive for another 3 km. Turn left and follow to the camp for about 6 km.

Access: 4WD.

Stay: Car, tent camping.

Facilities: Bring your own firewood and drinking water.

Fees and booking: Camping - $5 per adult/ per night. Car entry - free.

Freshwater campground

Getting there: This campground is located in Great Sandy National Park, 90 km from Tewantin.
From Tewantin follow McKinnon Dr north for about 14.5 km. Turn left onto Junction Rd, drive for another 3 km as it becomes Cootharaba Rd, in approximately 4.5 km continue onto Galloways Line, follow for about 5.5 km. Turn left onto Bates Rd, in approximately 4 km turn right onto Kin Kin Rd and drive for about 3 km. Then turn right onto Cooloola Way and follow for 29.5 km. Turn right onto Rainbow Beach Rd, drive for another 12.0 km. Turn right onto Freshwater Rd and follow for about 14 km.

Access: 4WD.

Stay: Trailers, car, tent camping.

Facilities: Picnic tables, wood/gas barbecues, toilets, shower. Bring your own firewood and drinking water.

Fees and booking: Camping - $5 per adult/ per night. Car entry - free.

From Tewantin follow McKinnon Dr northwest for about 19.5 km. Turn left onto Junction Rd, drive for another 3 km as it becomes Cootharaba Rd, in approximately 4.5 km continue onto Galloways Ln, take the road 7.5 km. Turn right onto Harry’s Hut Road and drive for about 7.0 km.

Access: Only 4WD.

Stay: Car, tent camping.

Facilities: Toilets, picnic tables. Bring your own firewood and drinking water.

Getting there: This campground is located in Inskip Peninsula Recreation Area, 12.7 km from Rainbow Beach.
From Rainbow Beach follow Clarkson Dr southeast for about 2 km. Turn right onto Inskip Ave, in approximately 7 km turn right onto Inskip Point Rd and drive for another 3.5 km. Then turn right and take the road for about 0.2 km.

Access: 2WD. The route includes unsealed roads passable only by 4WD in wet weather.

Stay: Trailers, car, tent camping, caravans.

Facilities: Toilets. Bring your own firewood and drinking water.

Fees and booking: Camping - $5 per adult/ per night. Car entry - free.
