Downey Creek campground
Getting there: This campground is located in Misty Mountains wilderness, 43 km from Innisfail.
From Innisfail follow Bruce Hwy – River Ave south for about 2.5 km as becomes Innisfail Jappoon Rd. Take the road for 15.5 km. Turn right onto Mena Creek Rd and follow for another 10 km. Walk to campsite from parking for about 15 km.
Access: 2WD. Walk to campsite from parking.
Stay: Tent camping.
Facilities: Bring your own firewood and drinking water.
Fees and booking: Camping - $5 per adult/per night. Car entry - free.
