Freshwater campground
Getting there: This campground is located in Great Sandy National Park, 90 km from Tewantin.
From Tewantin follow McKinnon Dr north for about 14.5 km. Turn left onto Junction Rd, drive for another 3 km as it becomes Cootharaba Rd, in approximately 4.5 km continue onto Galloways Line, follow for about 5.5 km. Turn left onto Bates Rd, in approximately 4 km turn right onto Kin Kin Rd and drive for about 3 km. Then turn right onto Cooloola Way and follow for 29.5 km. Turn right onto Rainbow Beach Rd, drive for another 12.0 km. Turn right onto Freshwater Rd and follow for about 14 km.
Access: 4WD.
Stay: Trailers, car, tent camping.
Facilities: Picnic tables, wood/gas barbecues, toilets, shower. Bring your own firewood and drinking water.
Fees and booking: Camping - $5 per adult/ per night. Car entry - free.
