Camp Walaay
Getting there: The camping site is located in Greenslopes Creek, next to the Environmental Education Centre. It is a part of Warrumbungle National Park, which is only 35 km or 30 minutes drive away from Coonabarabran. To access it from Coonabarabran take John Renshaw Parkway, then turnoff to the park visitor centre, and travel past the visitor centre to the campground.
Access: 2WD.
Stay: Tent camping, camping beside your vehicle.
Facilities: Pit toilets, picnic tables, wood barbecues. Bring your own drinking water and firewood.
Fees and booking: Camping - $5.00/$3.00 per adult/child per night. School groups pay $2.20 per student. Car entry - FREE. Large group booking is required.
