Camp Blackman
Getting there: The camping ground is located in Warrumbungle National Park, which is 35 km or 30 minutes drive away from Coonabarabran. The campsite is situated beside Wambelong Creek drive. It can be accessed by taking John Renshaw Parkway into the park, turning off to the park visitor centre and then keeping driving directly to the campground.
Access: 2WD, Caravan .
Stay: Tent camping, camper trailers, caravans, camping beside your vehicle. The camping ground is excellent for moutain biking, as well as for walking tours. It also has 32 powered sites, fitted for caravans, camper trailers, motor homes and tents.
Facilities: Water (can be treated for drinking), flush toilets, pit toilets, wood barbecues, picnic tables, hot showers, rubbish bins. There is no firewood provided. No place for swimming. Picnic area close by with electric BBQs are available. Bring your own drinking water and firewood.
Fees and booking: Camping - $5.00/$3.00 per adult/child per night. Powered sites camping - $10/$5 per adult/child per night. Car entry - FREE
No booking required. Camping areas are busy during Spring and Autumn school holidays, Easter and the October long weekend. Powered sites may be in short supply at these times.
