  4. Your location for the camp site is still a little out, though any one standing where you suggest will eventually find it . However, go to the satelite view, enlarge until you can make out the square shape of the public jetty, go north along the shore line and you can make out a small clearing, slightly off the waters edge. Thats it. Great walk, nice spot, can suffer from a hillbilly-swampbilly infestation in summer!

  5. If you’re getting to this site by car and foot, be prepared for some hard trekking. If you are an inexperienced hiker, I wouldn’t recommend this place although it is an extremely gorgeous walk. Plenty of water is VERY NECESSARY and don’t bring bulky camping gear. Getting back from the campsite involves a steep ascent up the side of a hill and it can get slippery. Walking path is in dire need of maintenance. Towards the end the walking path is so completely overgrown, it becomes impossible to detect. Some ribbons mark a path, I think, but I gave up and went home. Somewhat a disappointment. I never made it to the camp site gentleman’s halt, but will praise anyone who gets there! Just be prepared for some strenuous bush-bashing! This camp site is mostly used people who arrive by boat and rarely by people on foot. It’s very clear to me why now!!

  6. Don’t even bother trying to walk this track!!!

I made it to the campsite yesterday, but had no hope of walking out. I waved down a passing boat that took me to Spencer. The first 8km is ok on the fire trail and can be covered in 2 hours. The next 2.2km is a Wallaby track that took me approx 5 hours of bush bashing to get to the camp ground.
